The season of blossoms

Pretty much since the beginning of January I have been counting down the days till Spring. Winter here has been magical, with Christmas markets, and then incredible snow fall. However compared to NZ where winters are rainy but not super cold, I have really struggled with the negative temperatures.
A couple of weeks before the official beginning of spring we were teased with a couple of beautiful, sunny and pretty warm days. The blossoms started to come out, and it really began to start feeling like a new season. And then a couple of days later we had snow! It has felt like a long winter! For me, this has been physically (I am not used to this cold weather for so long!) and also metaphorically. I have been in a 'in between' season for a while now, and feel often like I'm waiting for something in every area of my life.
Therefore I don't think I have ever felt so ready and eager for Spring. Watching the different seasons come and go in Paris has been very magical, but my favourite has been watching Paris slowly becoming covered in colour! Paris is already so picturesque, but watching the trees all start to bloom and colour come back into the city has been incredible and brought me far more joy then any Spring before. I will often stop to stare at the flowers, to smell them and of course take a lot of pictures! It's beautiful watching nature transform between different seasons.
Paris in Spring is absolutely beautiful! If you are trying to decide on a time to come visit Paris, then I definitely recommend the Spring! It's not very hard to find beautiful blossoms around, but if you want some ideas then head to the parks! Pictured below are some of my fav blossom photos that I've taken so far. These are mostly from small parks close to my home in Vincennes, as well as near Metro Saint Paul, Jardin du Palais Royal, and Champs de Mars.
